I. PROGRAM MISSION
THE GOAL OF THE EAST KENTWOOD FOOTBALL PROGRAM IS TO TAKE THE STUDENT-ATHLETE WHERE HE CANNOT TAKE HIMSELF. WE WILL PROVIDE A FRAMEWORK IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF: WORK ETHIC, ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, SOUND CHARACTER, AND LEADERSHIP.
- TO RELENLESSLY PURSUE AND WIN THE OK RED CHAMPIONSHIP EVERY YEAR;
- TO QUALIFY FOR THE MHSAA PLAYOFFS EVERY YEAR and;
- ULTIMATELY WIN THE MHSAA DIVISION 1 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

III. PROGRAM GOALS
- Ethics - Everything in our football program must be beyond question from all areas.
- To build confidence and self-esteem and a feeling of contribution within each player.
- Help every player develop the ability to make mature choices in their lives.
- Give each athlete opportunities to develop leadership skills.
- Encourage every athlete to achieve the highest academic success possible.
- Respect the dignity and faith of each person in our football program.
- Provide a structured environment to reinforce a model of discipline and commitment.
- Teach the practice of EXCELLENCE in competition.
- Encourage the student athlete to have a positive attitude and reinforce sound character. Above all else, our student athletes will be men of Character !
